Sophie's story
From Storieswiki.org
I never thought magic really existed. That's why I laughed out loud when Laurie told me this.
"Stop laughing, Sophie. You never know. Her spell might work."
"How could that be possible?"
Yeah, how could that be possible?
Laurie had caught a conversation between Isabelle Potvin, a goth lesbian, and another girl. What caught her attention was hearing my name. As Laurie told me, she heard Isabelle say that, the night before, she had cast a love spell on me.
"Why not?"
"Because magic doesn't exist, and there's no way in this world I could fall in love with a girl, especially that goth freak!"
"Aren't you even a little bit scared?"
"Not in a million years!"
Well, ok, I admit. The idea of Isabelle having a crush on me wasn't something I could just put away without getting shivers. You know how goths are, after all. Everything about them is, in some way, scary.
I quickly changed the subject, and dismissed the whole thing as being just stupid. But before going to sleep that night, I started to put more thought into it. What would happen if her spell did work? The idea of becoming a lesbian was totally repulsive. I tried to think of something else, but it just kept coming back to my mind. So it took me about half an hour before finally falling asleep. I can't exactly recall the dreams I had that night, but I do remember waking up in sweat the next morning. My heart was pumping as if I had just run a marathon all night long.
"That's it!" I said to myself "Forget the whole thing or you'll become crazy!"
And that's what I did. Well, I thought I did.
I woke up the next morning also in sweat but with some memories of the dream I had. In my dream, I was kissing someone as if my life depended on it. The love was strong and the caresses were passionate. After about a minute or two, we would stop the kiss, and that's when I saw the person I was kissing was Isabelle.
